Promoting Bicycling and Walking in the U.S. Transportation System

Federal funding for biking and walking can get our economy moving.

America Bikes focuses on the Federal Transportation Bill and other federal policy that affects bicycling and walking.

We are asking Congress to pass a transportation bill that promotes bicycling and walking by: building streets for all users, focusing increased investment on creating bicycling and walking networks, fixing dangerous streets and intersections, and raising the profile of biycling and walking in the United States transportation system.
